£65000 - £70000 per annum

A growing managed security service provider is currently looking to add their 1st Commercial Manager into their busy business.

This is a key role that will work across the business providing support to all functions in matters of commercial, contracting, and legal advice. You will have gained sufficient demonstrable experience from your career of relevant legal terminology and ‘red flags’ to be able to conduct contract reviews, negotiations, and drafting and knowing when to bring in external legal support for complex or technically challenging issues.

This will be a challenging, interesting, and diverse role that will add value to all areas of the business – particularly supporting the sales function with closing contracts in a timely manner whilst protecting interests but also through life contract management and change control with the service delivery function, supporting supplier contracts and reviews, owning the annual corporate insurance renewals process and other ad-hoc matters of commercial review.

As a rapidly growing and successful cyber services provider they need to ensure their processes, systems, and business intelligence capabilities continue to grow and support the various divisions in line with their aspirations. To do this the commercial rigor which underpins their execution needs to be constantly evolved, challenged, and improved to maximize business performance. This role will be instrumental in driving this agenda and will suit someone with a proactive mindset and ability and comfort with getting ‘hands-on’ as well as understanding the bigger picture vision to define a future state and work towards it in whilst adapting to changing business priorities. Above all this role requires a ‘can-do’ approach to commercial and contract management and the ability to forge really strong relationships internally and externally to achieve business goals rapidly, balancing competing pressures to achieve an appropriately risk-managed outcome that maintains great client relationships whilst ensuring their commercial exposure is appropriately managed in line with corporate governance principles.

To be considered for this Commercial manager role, you will have the following skills and experience: ­

  • Proven and demonstrable experience as a Commercial Manager or similar position – preferably within a services industry (managed services and professional services) ­
  • Knowledge and experience of working under UK Government framework contracts beneficial ­
  • An analytical mind, able to “see” the complexities of contracting vehicles/documents and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to reach appropriate resolutions on issues and differences of opinion ­
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision making and analytical capabilities ­
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

London / Hybrid
£60,000K – £70,000K
