Incident Responder – UK – Up to 85k – Remote
A market-leading product supplier is actively looking for an Incident Responder to join their in-house cyber defense team as the lead Incident Responder. This individual will be responsible for leading remidation for all internal incidents as well as developing the Incident Response strategy to improve the organisation’s security capabilities. Responsibilities of an Incident Responder:
- You will be responsible for leading investigations and actively remediating all incidents faced internally
- You will be in charge of developing & updating the incident response playbooks to improve the remediation practices across the organisation
- Liaising with third party stakeholders to ensure they are adhering to the best practices to minimise the risk of vulnerabilities
- Help develop the strategic direction for incident response across the organisation to improve the overall security capabilities of the company
- Acting as an SME throughout the organisation to ensure non security teams are aware of the best security practices
- Offer mentorship to junior members within the CSIRT to develop organisational standards
Requirements of an Incident Responder:
- 2 Years of previous experience working within Incident Response or the Blue Team
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and experience within Incident Response
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience developing incident management plan (desirable)
- Right to work within the UK without visa sponsorship (must)
